News & Events

The Invasive Species Centre’s Early Detection and Rapid Response Network (EDRR) is expanding into Eastern Ontario! This education, and community action network aims to train communities how to identify, report and respond to invasive species in Ontario. Thanks to a Grow Grant from the Ontario Trillium Foundation, we are expanding into the Quinte, Kingston and Rideau catchment.

To kick off this expansion, the Invasive Species Centre along with our project partners at the Eastern Ontario Model Forest, and the Ontario Invasive Plant Council are hosting an introduction webinar for local organizations to learn more about the project.

This webinar will outline the project, our history in Ontario, what you can expect from us, and most importantly- how you can get involved! There will be an opportunity for questions, as well as a survey which will be sent out after the webinar to help us gauge where the invasive species needs are in Eastern Ontario.

You can register for the webinar here.

Interested in learning more about the EDRR Network? Check out our program page on the Invasive Species Centre website.
