The Cassidy family wish to let you know about the recent passing of Keith Cassidy (aged 90).  Keith and his family spent more than 40 years cottaging at Christie Lake, first in rental cottages and then from 1988 onwards, at his own cottage on Douglas Lane.

Rest In Peace Keith.

Keith Cassidy

July 11, 1931  –  June 1, 2022

Surrounded by his three children, Keith Cassidy (90) passed away in Toronto on Wednesday June 1 after a brief illness.

A proud Ottawa Valley native, Keith was born in Ramsey Township, Carleton Place in 1931. The eldest of four children, Keith grew up on the family farm on the 8th Line.

Despite moving to Toronto in 1956, Keith felt most at home at his cottage on Christie Lake (south shore/ Douglas Lane) where he spent over 30 happy summers with friends and family.

Pre-deceased by Wilma (nee James), his wife of 35 years, Keith leaves behind his three children: Kevin (Pat), Sharon (Mike) and Blake (Fiona) and seven adored grandchildren, Erin, Shayne, Cassidy, Parker, Delaney, Piers and Airlie.

Keith was an active and enthusiastic participant at local dances where he and his dance partner Rosemarie Timms loved to cut a fast jig, listen to the fiddle music and sing.

With a unique ability to make friends wherever he went, Keith will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved him.
